MCA selection in church Essay Once upon a time there was a boy his name was Sonish he was a wonderful bowler and then he heard from his friends that there was a MCA selection in church gate he thought that if he is a good bowler he can attend the selection he ran and told his mom that there mca selection his mom told okay but where did you saw that Sonish told I heard from my friends mom told okay then Sonish told yes he ran and stand on the line and but he was worried because there alder people than him but still he told himself to not give up then he went inside then his turn came and he bowled it was a yorker but the batsman easily defensed it but still he had confidence again the same bowl and he was bowled the judges were impressed with him the next two bowls were short length then the next two bowls were full length. Then the sir told you bowled well met Bhuvneshwar Kumar from tomorrow he will be your coach Sonish told ok sir but I am selected if I told you come tomorrow means you are selected. The next day I came kumar sir told that first run and then we will do net practice ok I was the first won to finish and then I went to sir and told I finished then sir told quick we have to do net practice I bowled the six bowls very well after 10 days of practice sir told Sonish tomorrow we have to go to Kandivali you have been selected for a tournament fast Sonish was very happy the next day he went with his marvelous bowling his team went to the final and the final was interesting we were bowling first Sonish took three wickets and the target was 35 in 6overs the score was 24-6 I came and hit two sixes and finished the game and remembered in Maharashtra cricket association then after a year Sonish again came back and everyone were saluting him because he won many prizes in three tri-series; Ranji Trophy and first class cricket. Then he came to kumar sir and told sir I did my job and came now what is left for me to do sir told now you have to get the under-19 world cup Sonish told ok sir I will try my best after 10 days the first u-19 match was there it was India vs. Australia India won the toss and choose to bowl first then Sonish was from the stump the first over went excellent for the Indian team then following the first o over till the 50th over the target for the Indians was 234 in 50 overs it was easy task if we play the game seriously we won the game very easily like this only we won the coming 8 games then India came in the semi- finals are match was vs. south Africa they were an easy team if we play very serious cricket well they were batting first they set a target of 280 we had to get a good start and then I just didn’t see but suddenly are score came to 275 then a big six and we won it was a hard score but we still got it in 45.5 overs this was the best match ever for India [final lost by the Indians] then I was the presentation ceremony in that I got the best bowler award through the tournament. Proclaim Your Freedom of Speech – Burn a Flag!      Ã‚  Ã‚   "This flag, which we honor and under which we serve, is the emblem of our unity, our power, our thought and purpose as a nation. It has no other character than that which we give it from generation to generation. The choices are ours" (quoted in Smith 87). This statement by Woodrow Wilson summarizes the debate over a proposed amendment to outlaw burning of the American flag. Is this symbol of our nation too powerful to be defiled in our collective mind, or is its manifestation of values the reason for us to outlaw its desecration? We see many constitutional and non-constitutional reasons both for and against passing the amendment; an analysis of the Constitution is vital to forming a valid opinion on this issue.    In the past, the Supreme Court has ruled that burning the flag is a form of free speech which may not be limited by the government. One of the earliest decisions on this issue was in Street v. New York (1969). After hearing about the murder of civil rights leader James Meredith, Sidney Street, a decorated veteran of World War II, burned a flag he had been displaying at his home (Cohen 185), telling bystanders that "if they let that happen to Meredith, we don't need an American flag" (Cohen 185). He was arrested, tried before a jury, and convicted under the state's statute prohibiting both the desecration of the flag and publicly speaking contemptuous words about it. Street's attorney appealed to the Supreme Court, which ruled the sentence unconstitutional. The Court's opinion was based mainly upon Mr. Street's words; it stated that his declarations were a form of protest which is protected by the First Amendment and that he did not provoke retaliation fro... ...mocracy. A healthy and safe home based environment Essay

It is my responsibility as a professional childminder to do everything possible to keep all children safe at all times and prevent accidents, to do so: †¢I will ensure I keep appropriate supervision of children at all times. †¢I have in place a thorough risk assessment which I enforce and revise regularly. †¢I use only equipment with children that is age appropriate and in safe working order and complies with national safety standards. †¢I keep my home clean and organised and dispose of waste appropriately. †¢I do not keep pets. †¢Medicines and other hazardous materials are locked away out of reach of children. †¢In the event of an accident, illness or emergency I will follow my policy and procedures to ensure it is dealt with in an effective way. There are different levels of supervision depending on the age, ability of the child, the task/activity they are taking part in and the environment they are doing it in, for example a toddler exploring the garden and learning to walk will need much more hands on supervision than an eight year old sitting quietly with a colouring book. The three Levels are: †¢Constant supervision means watching a child at all times, probably close by, maybe helping a baby to stand or a toddler to climb up a slide. †¢Close supervision is when you are watching the child without being involved in what they are doing, however you are ready to step in and help when necessary, maybe if a toddler is eating a snack or playing at the playground. †¢General supervision is always being aware what the child is doing and checking on them at regular intervals, maybe when an older child is doing their homework or watching TV after school. When out and about with children it is really important to follow road safety rules. Babies and toddlers are safely strapped into a buggy but older children must walk sensibly beside me while we walk along a busy road or cross over, holding hands depending on their age and understanding. When in quieter safer surrounding I expect the children to always listen to my instructions and Never go out of sight. I will always have written permission from parents  before taking them out and I will always let parents know where we plan to go. I only have toys and children’s equipment with a recognised safety symbol on them, such as the Kite Mark, the CE Mark or the Lion Mark. I check all equipment for hazards regularly to make sure they are not damaged or broken. All toys and equipment are used only with children of an appropriate age. Children are supervised at all times and are shown how to use toys safely. Current guidance on health and safety and risk assessment of the home based work setting is available from RoSPA (Royal Society for the prevention of Accidents) website at www.rospa.com where you can find a whole section on home safety including specific advice on preventing accidents among children. The Health and Safety Executive website www.hse.gov.uk contains general guidance about health and safety and risk assessment but is less specific to childcare. There is lots of support available for childminders. There are childminding networks all over the country are rich sources of information and support. If you are a member of PACEY, they will be a source of guidance and support. You could read through the Welfare requirements of EYFS or find information in your local library.

My Guest Star Featured Is Sara Picklesimer - 987 Words

Recently this week, we’ve been discussing perception and how it impacts the way we communicate in our daily lives. Interestingly enough, this episode of COMMPENDIUM hosted by Professor Stephen Stifano focused on this subject and its attributes. Our guest star featured is Sara Picklesimer, a University of Louisville graduate and now currently a doctoral student at the University of Connecticut in the field of communication. She was born in Pinesville, Kentucky, and started off as a biology major before realizing her passion was communication after taking her first public speaking course. Despite being a shy and reserved individual, Ms. Picklesimer found that she actually enjoyed and was surprisingly good at this field. She now teaches a gender and communication course here at the University of Connecticut, which ties in gender through music and a variety of other aspects in relation to communication. She gives us her expert lecture on two primary topics related to perception: t hin-slicing and the impact and effect of gender on the ways in which we communicate. Professor Stifano mentioned some of the foundations of perception that we have discussed in our lecture, including selective attention and perceptual filters. The other aspects revealed in this podcast are thin-slicing and gender.
